Chapter 32 - the digital breach

Sophia was studying in the grand library when the heavy, impenetrable darkness swallowed the mansion. The backup generators failed to engage, indicating a highly coordinated external override. She didn't panic or scream for the guards.
Inheriting her father's terrifyingly cold composure, Sophia calmly pulled a sleek, military-grade encrypted tablet from her desk. She bypassed the compromised mainframe, accessing the isolated, analog security feeds hidden throughout the estate.
Dante marched into the library, a heavily modified assault rifle resting easily against his broad, tattooed shoulder. Elena was right beside him, her face a mask of absolute, unyielding stone. They operated as a flawless, highly lethal unit.
"It's not a physical assault, Dad," Sophia reported, her fingers flying across the glowing screen with blinding speed. "They hijacked the central servers. They are demanding fifty million dollars in untraceable cryptocurrency, or they will leak our proprietary charity data."
