Five years passed, and Evelyn's quiet and peaceful life seemed as though it would last forever. The trust fund she established grew increasingly powerful, becoming a steadfast pillar of support for hundreds of lonely elderly women across the country.
However, news of the generosity and massive wealth of this charity fund inadvertently reached the ears of those living at the bottom of the mud. In a rundown boarding house, Sherry and Chloe were struggling for every cheap meal.
Poverty did not bring the mother and daughter to their senses; it only made their greed and envy boil over increasingly. Upon reading an article praising Evelyn in a local magazine, Sherry's eyes flared with an incredibly malicious and shameless glare.
"She is using our family's money for charity! That was supposed to be your inheritance, Chloe!" Sherry screamed, slamming her hand down on the rickety wooden table. "We cannot let that senile old hag squander all that massive amount of money."
