Chapter 22 - the filthy plan
Chloe and Sherry quickly sought out a shady lawyer who specialized in handling inheritance disputes through despicable legal loopholes. Together, they mapped out an incredibly sinister plan to seize the money back from the trust fund.
"We will sue her in court on the grounds of mental instability," the shady lawyer smirked cunningly. "If we can prove Mrs. Evelyn was not lucid when she signed the papers to establish the fund, the court will invalidate it and transfer management rights to her sole heir."
However, this plan had a fatal flaw: Chloe was divorced; she no longer had legal standing. The only person with the right to file the lawsuit requesting guardianship was David, the biological son living a pathetic and extremely reclusive life.
Sherry and Chloe did not hesitate to visit David's rundown apartment. They used every sweet word, promising to give him half of the massive fortune if he agreed to stand as a witness against his own biological mother in court.
