Chapter 11 - the phantom of the night

The sickly yellow light cast down on the musty basement of the luxury restaurant. This place, originally used to store expensive wine, had now become a terrifying underground interrogation room.
Marco was tied tightly to a rusty iron chair in the middle of the room. His usually handsome face was now pale, drenched in sweat, and drained of every drop of blood. He was trembling incessantly.
The basement door flew open. Dante Russo stepped in with an intimidating aura. His suit jacket was removed, revealing rolled-up shirt sleeves and tattoos. The cold gray eyes of the mafia billionaire were as sharp as blades.
"Where is my wife?" Dante spoke in a low voice, his pitch not roaring but carrying a murderous intent that made the temperature drop. An invisible pressure weighed heavily on the chest of the manager, Marco.
"I... I was just following orders!" Marco stammered, tears streaming down his face. "They promised to pay off my gambling debts! If I tell you, they'll kill my whole family! Please spare my life, sir!"
