Chapter 28 - the grand gala

To celebrate the grand opening of the children's pastry school, the Russo family hosted a magnificent charity gala inside BELLANOTE—the ultra-luxurious Italian restaurant where Maya's grueling journey had first begun years ago.

Towering crystal chandeliers cast a bright amber cinematic light over polished black marble floors. Wealthy guests in bespoke tuxedos and designer gowns mingled joyfully, celebrating the triumph of kindness and unbreakable family bonds.

Maya wore a breathtaking deep-emerald silk evening gown that accentuated her graceful silhouette, her glossy auburn-chestnut hair styled in an elegant romantic updo with soft strands framing her glowing face.

Dante stood proudly by her side, clad in a flawless midnight-black Italian three-piece suit. He kept one powerful arm securely around her waist, his piercing pale-gray eyes radiating unconditional devotion for the woman who owned his heart.

Sophia, now a stunning pre-teen in a royal-blue velvet dress, took the microphone on the central stage. Her clear, musical voice rang out across the packed restaurant, thanking everyone for supporting the foundation's noble mission.
