The bright morning at the Russo corporate headquarters was violently shattered. Dozens of heavily armed federal tactical agents swarmed into the grand lobby, their weapons drawn, completely locking down the building.
Maya stood in her glass-walled executive office, her hazel eyes completely calm. The terrified staff panicked, but Maya remembered the relentless discipline Dante had taught her. She didn't cower or flinch.
The lead federal agent marched into her office, slamming a forged cargo manifest onto her mahogany desk. "Maya Bennett, we found Class-3 military weapons in your charity crates bound for Europe. You are under investigation for international smuggling."
Sophia stepped into the office, her pale-gray eyes radiating absolute, freezing ice. She knew instantly that this was a highly coordinated, malicious setup designed to destroy their family's pristine reputation.
