Exactly forty-eight hours after the fake news broadcast, Viktor and the supreme leaders of the Obsidian Council arrived in Chicago on a fleet of private jets. They were entirely, arrogantly confident in their flawless victory.
They believed the Moretti empire was completely leaderless and vulnerable. Accompanied by dozens of highly paid, heavily armed corporate mercenaries, Viktor marched proudly into the grand lobby of the Moretti executive tower, demanding immediate control of the board.
The loyal security staff, strictly following the twins' secret orders, offered no physical resistance whatsoever. They allowed the arrogant oligarchs to ride the private elevator directly up to the top-floor executive boardroom.
Viktor sat confidently at the head of the massive mahogany table, pulling out the fraudulent legal documents required to seize the multi-billion-dollar philanthropic trust fund. He smirked, believing he had outsmarted the legendary mafia bloodline.
