Chapter 37 - the final judgment

Silvio frantically reached for his weapon, but Dante's men immediately disarmed him, forcing the disgraced Chicago boss to his knees on the wet, unforgiving concrete of the helipad.
Dante slowly approached, his polished shoes clicking ominously. He looked down at the trembling man who had dared to bring violence into his peaceful world and threaten the woman who had saved his daughter.
"You wanted my ports, Silvio," Dante stated coldly, his piercing pale-gray eyes completely devoid of any empathy. "You thought threatening my family would make me surrender. You were fatally wrong."
Silvio sobbed pathetically, begging for his life, offering absolute surrender and millions in offshore accounts. But Dante was a man who valued loyalty and family above all earthly wealth.
"You don't get to buy your way out of this," Dante whispered, his voice echoing with absolute, cinematic finality. "Your empire is gone. Your name is erased. You will never cast a shadow in my city again."
