Chapter 18 - a blooming flower

Two years passed as fast as a blink of an eye. "Sweet Haven" had become the most famous bakery chain in Manhattan. Not just for its exquisite flavors, but also for the inspiring story of its founder.

Maya now carried a confident, elegant demeanor in her meticulously tailored business suit. She was busy attending board meetings for the Russo Charity Foundation, approving relief projects, and building schools.

Under Maya's management, hundreds of destitute women had received vocational training and found stable jobs at her very own bakery chain. Maya's kind heart spread like a spark warming the cold winter.

One weekend afternoon, Maya hosted a charity tea party. Dante, Elena, and little Sophia were all present. Little Sophia, now older, confidently took the microphone to read a poem dedicated to less fortunate children.

Dante watched Maya from afar. He knew he hadn't chosen the wrong person. The Russo family could use power and violence to maintain their empire, but Maya's kindness was what maintained the world's balance.
