Chapter 13 - the perfect trap

Victor Miller did not hide his ruthless intentions. He openly sent an invitation for a meeting to Claire at a private, enclosed restaurant. He wanted to use psychological pressure to force her to compromise and hand over her shares.

That night, Claire appeared in a pitch-black evening gown, exuding the authoritative aura of a queen. She walked into the VIP room, where Victor was waiting with an arrogant smile, surrounded by dozens of armed bodyguards.

"You're quite brave, Claire," Victor sipped a glass of wine, his eyes full of cunning. "But bravery won't save your family. Sign the transfer papers, and I'll ensure the two kids are kept absolutely safe."

Claire smirked, an enigmatic and deadly smile blooming on her lips. "Did you think I came here alone, Victor?" She snapped her fingers lightly.

Suddenly, all the lights in the restaurant went out. When the light returned, Victor's bodyguards had been completely subdued by an FBI federal special task force. They had walked right into a highly sophisticated trap set by Claire.
