That night, at a massive charity gala, the entire New York elite gathered to celebrate Claire's sixtieth birthday. Every brilliant spotlight was aimed at the queen of the financial empire.
From his dark suburban apartment, Arthur smiled maniacally, hitting the Enter key on his keyboard. The malware was immediately activated, infecting the trust fund's central servers. Billions of dollars began the illegal diversion process.
"Happy birthday, stepmother," Arthur muttered, pouring himself a glass of cheap wine to celebrate. He envisioned the federal police raiding the party, handcuffing Claire, Max, and Leo, and taking them away in humiliating disgrace.
He glued his eyes to the screen, counting down the time until the cash flow completed its transactions into international terrorist accounts. In just ten seconds, the Miller empire would be wiped out forever, and the name Arthur would become the terror of Wall Street.
However, when the countdown reached exactly three seconds, Arthur's entire screen suddenly flashed a blazing red. The command lines automatically reversed. The massive cash flow was abruptly and completely frozen.
