Chapter 56 - the matriarch's pride

That evening, Leo and Max drove out to the peaceful countryside estate where Claire lived. The sprawling property was surrounded by blooming gardens and ancient oak trees, a perfect haven of tranquility.

Claire was waiting for them on the wide, wrap-around porch. She wore a simple, elegant white sweater, her face radiating profound serenity. She had watched the entire press conference on television.

When her tall, handsome sons walked up the steps, Claire didn't ask about the legal details or the corporate fallout. She simply opened her arms wide. Leo and Max hugged their mother tightly, feeling the ultimate warmth of absolute love.

"You defended our legacy flawlessly," Claire whispered, her eyes shining with unshed tears of pure, overwhelming happiness. "You fought with honor, intellect, and profound compassion. I am so incredibly proud of the men you have become."
