Chapter 65 - the underground hunt

Noah knew that to hunt down a demonic organization like the Black Stone Society, he needed to utilize the city's forgotten underground channels. He sought out a shadow broker, a man who had worked directly under Michael Sr. before the great purge.
He found the old man in a filthy, smoke-filled pub near the docks. The old man revealed sheer terror when Noah sat down across from him. The name Carter still carried an overwhelming and absolute fear in the underworld.
"I need the cargo manifest of all illegal chemical ships that docked in Boston this week," Noah demanded quietly, his presence dominating the entire room. "Do not lie to me. The price to pay is incredibly steep."
The broker trembled, sliding a crumpled USB drive across the sticky table. "It was a ghost ship, Mr. Carter. It docked at pier forty-two tonight. They are unloading giant industrial ventilation crates."

Noah stood up, leaving a stack of crisp bills on the table. The Black Stone Society intended to pump the neurotoxin directly into the central subway ventilation station.
