Chapter 78 - the absolute verdict

Leo walked slowly across the server room, looking down at the broken, weeping hacker with an expression of profound, chilling pity. He didn't use physical violence; the psychological devastation was infinitely more powerful.
"You thought you could destroy my mother's legacy with a few lines of code," Leo said, his voice echoing with absolute, unquestionable authority. "But you forgot that our empire was built on surviving the ultimate betrayals. We are an unbreakable fortress."
Leo didn't pull a weapon. He signaled to the elite security operatives waiting in the shadows.
"We aren't going to kill you, Caleb. We are going to hand you, and every single one of your encrypted client ledgers, over to the international cyber-crime tribunal. You will spend the rest of your miserable life rotting in a supermax cell without ever seeing a computer screen again."
Caleb sobbed hysterically as heavy steel handcuffs clicked sharply around his wrists. The ghost who had tried to hold the world hostage was unceremoniously dragged out of his freezing bunker into the howling blizzard.
