Chapter 17 - the devil's fury

Receiving the emergency report, Dante bolted out of the mansion like a rabid beast. He drove his sports supercar himself, slamming the gas pedal to the floor, tearing through all traffic on the streets of Boston.
His heart pounded wildly with absolute terror. Whoever dared to touch his daughter had signed their own most brutal death warrant. He would tear them into a hundred pieces.
When Dante arrived at the scene, the police had cordoned off the area. His forces had subdued two hitmen; the other two were dead. Seeing the dented armored car, he rushed over to open the door.
Little Ivy lunged into her father's sturdy arms, hugging his neck tightly. "Dad..." the little girl called out softly, her voice trembling. Dante hugged her tight, tears welling up. He kissed her messy hair, thanking heaven and earth that she was still safe.
His eyes shifted from gentleness to seething hatred. He walked over to the hitman kneeling tied up on the road. With a tone as cold as hell itself, he issued an order to Marcus.
