Chapter 66 - the ruthless interrogation

The physical relief of finding Leo safely vanished quickly, violently replaced by a cold, calculating wrath. Dante ordered his men to secure the surviving mercenary captain and drag him to an abandoned, soundproof hunting cabin deep in the woods.

Leo and Titan were sent back to the estate under heavily armed escort, leaving the mafia boss to extract the necessary truth. The mercenary was tied to a wooden chair, trembling profusely under the chilling, lifeless gaze of Dante Pascale.

"Who gave the order to target my family?" Dante asked softly, his voice echoing with undeniable, cinematic authority.

The mercenary, bound by cartel fear, refused to speak. Dante didn't yell or resort to crude torture. He simply pulled up a chair, sitting inches from the man. "You have sixty seconds before I make sure every single person you have ever loved experiences exactly what my grandson felt tonight in those woods."

The absolute, terrifying reality of Dante's reputation broke the mercenary's mind. "It was viktor!" he sobbed hysterically. "The boss of the crimson hand! He operates out of a fortified penthouse in the financial district!" The target was confirmed.
