Chapter 22 - the hidden enemy

Marcus, now the senior security director of the conglomerate, hurriedly pushed open the door and stepped into Dante's office. His face was intensely tense. "Boss, someone is intentionally trying to acquire our satellite companies."
Dante wasn't in a rush. The boss closed his laptop screen, his sharp, cold eyes maintaining the composure of a man who had weathered countless storms. "Find the source of the money," he ordered briefly.

Dante smirked slightly. The mice had finally crawled out of their holes. They thought his retreat into legitimate business meant the claws of the beast of Boston had been completely worn down.
"Increase security for Elena and Ivy to the highest level," Dante instructed Marcus. "Absolutely do not let any strangers approach them."
