Chapter 7 - The Vow of Blood

The cinematic realism of the moment was suffocating. Dante looked at his sister, the pieces of the puzzle aggressively locking into place.

Five years ago, Camilla had convinced Dante that Elena had stolen millions from the syndicate and fled to Europe with a rival boss. Dante had been so blinded by betrayal that he never searched the abandoned, sealed-off catacombs beneath their very own Boston estate.

"You locked her in the dark room," Dante whispered, his voice dropping into a lethal, demonic register that echoed off the stone walls.

"She's lying!" Camilla shrieked, her white mink coat trembling violently as she backed toward the door. She pointed a frantic finger at the massive guard. "Bosow! Shoot the dog! Shoot the kid! Do it now!"

Bosow panicked. Caught between his direct supervisor and the king of the syndicate, his criminal survival instincts misfired. He aggressively reached for the heavy pistol holstered at his waist.

He didn't even clear the leather.

With blinding, explosive speed, Dante lunged forward. He intercepted Bosow’s arm, gripping the guard’s wrist with bone-crushing force. With a violent, brutal twist, Dante snapped the guard's arm, sending the weapon clattering across the cobblestones. Dante drove his knee directly into Bosow’s chest, sending the massive man crashing unconscious onto the frozen ground.

Dante slowly picked up the loaded pistol from the ice. He racked the slide with a deafening, metallic clack.

He aimed the weapon directly at his own sister's chest.

👉 Camilla was staring down the barrel of a loaded gun, and the only way to survive was to lead him into the shadows.
