Chapter 15 - the hunt

Victor didn't flee to Europe. He had bribed the captain, jumped ship in the dead of night, and hid in a secret warehouse in the city's rundown southern industrial zone. He believed his plan of using the Black Mambas as meat shields had succeeded.

Sitting in the damp room, Victor smugly waited for the news of his brother's death. He assumed the car bomb attack would blow Damian's defenses wide open. But he made a grave miscalculation about the true power of the Cross family.

Suddenly, Victor's phone rang. He answered it, expecting good news. But all he got in return was a terrifying silence, followed by a deep, husky voice carrying the breath of the grim reaper: "Game over, Victor."

Victor dropped the phone in horror. Before he could even reach for the gun on the table, the warehouse door was ripped open. Damian's most elite hitman squad stormed in, subduing him instantly. Every avenue of escape was completely sealed off.
