Chapter 83 - the deadly encirclement

Julian's mercenaries shattered the tempered glass doors, swarming inside the estate with rushed, heavy footsteps. However, they had made a fatal mistake by underestimating the underground defense system designed by the boss, Damian, himself.
Sophia did not run away. She pressed a button hidden under the oak desk, triggering solid steel shields that dropped down to completely cover the office area.
"Did you think you could walk into my house and get out alive?" Sophia's razor-sharp voice echoed through the internal intercom system.
Instantly, deadly traps were activated. A series of blazing red lasers cut across the hallways, accompanied by thick blinding smoke spewing from the vents. Panicking, the mercenaries fired wildly into the air, throwing their own formation into total chaos.
