Chapter 8 - The Lethal Judgment

The luxury study echoed with Victor’s pathetic, terrified sobbing. The aggressive, ambitious traitor was completely broken, pinned to the floor by the very beast he had tried to weaponize.

Sophia didn't scream. She stepped behind her father, her small hands gently gripping the fabric of his dark suit trousers.

Damian stood perfectly still, looking down at his brother. His cold, dark eyes held absolutely no mercy, no hesitation, and no familial love.

"Call him off, please!" Victor wailed, tears streaming down his face as Bruno’s hot breath hit his neck. "I'm your brother!"

A tight, cinematic close-up captured Damian’s face. He glared at his brother with lethal authority, weighing the ultimate betrayal. He thought about the terror Sophia must have felt when she was pulled from her car. He thought about the audacity of a man who would threaten a child for shipping ports.

A subtle, powerful emotional pause hung in the air.

"He made his choice," Damian said, his voice deadly quiet and absolute.

Damian didn't call the dog off. He simply reached into his pocket and pressed a silent alarm button.
