Chapter 34 - the invisible net

Sophia didn't call the authorities. She didn't intend to negotiate with a man who had tortured her father. She intended to erase him completely.
"Marcus," Sophia ordered, turning to the captain of the guard. "Julian thinks he can operate in Boston without us seeing him. He doesn't realize I control the financial grid. Trace the encrypted satellite signal from that video."
For six agonizing hours, Sophia’s elite team of white-hat hackers scoured the dark web. Julian was hiding behind multiple proxy servers, but he had made one critical mistake. He had paid his local mercenaries using a shell company that Sophia had secretly acquired months ago.
"We have him, Miss Sophia," the lead hacker announced, projecting a map onto the wall. "He's operating out of the abandoned shipyard in the southern industrial district."

Sophia stood up, holstering her weapon. She didn't look like a corporate CEO anymore; she looked exactly like the apex predator her father had raised her to be. "Assemble the strike team. We don't negotiate. We hunt."
