Chapter 115 - the ghost unmasked

Michael Jr. stormed into the sniper's nest, his gun raised and ready. But the room was completely empty. The sniper rifle was mounted on an automated, remote-controlled tripod, firing blindly into the yard below.
Suddenly, a cold, sharp laugh echoed from a hidden speaker in the corner of the small room.
"You are very fast, Dr. Carter," Specter's synthesized voice mocked him. "But you are too focused on the bullets. You forgot to protect the true target."
Michael Jr.'s heart stopped entirely. A horrifying realization hit him. The sniper ambush was a distraction to pull him and Marcus Jr. away from the estate. The true assassination team was currently targeting the impenetrable bunker where Chloe and Lily were hiding.
"If you touch my family, I will tear you apart piece by piece," Michael Jr. roared into the speaker, his voice vibrating with absolute, demonic fury.
"The bunker's ventilation system has already been compromised," Specter replied coldly. "You have exactly twenty minutes before the neuro-gas reaches them. Run, doctor."

Michael Jr. didn't waste a single millisecond. He sprinted down the crane, leaped into the armored SUV, and slammed the gas pedal to the floor, tearing through the rainy streets of Boston like an absolute madman.
