Chapter 32 - the ruthless heir

The next morning, Victor Lorenzo brazenly appeared at the Carter corporation's headquarters. Wearing an expensive suit, he brought an incredibly blatant extortion contract. He demanded the transfer of all ownership rights to the new drug technology in exchange for the system's decryption code.

"Did you think you could play hero and save the world, Noah?" Victor smirked contemptuously, tossing the file onto the glass desk. "Your family robbed the Lorenzos of everything. Now it's time for me to take it all back."

Noah remained sitting quietly in his leather chair, not showing a single trace of panic. He learned from his father that the stillness of a predator is always more terrifying than meaningless growls.

"You are threatening the lives of thousands of innocent children over a cheap personal vendetta?" Noah spoke in a deep, cold voice, every word carrying overwhelming weight. "You heavily underestimate the name Carter."

Victor burst out laughing, confident that victory was in his grasp. He turned and walked away, leaving behind a twenty-four-hour ultimatum. He was completely unaware that he had just walked into an incredibly ruthless death trap.
