Chapter 79 - the immortal white rose

Tens of thousands of people from all over the world poured into the city of Boston to attend Mrs. Emily Carter's memorial service. There was no uproar or excessive lamenting; everyone quietly brought a white rose, the symbol of purity.
Among those paying their respects were doctors funded by the Carter foundation, orphans saved from death's door, and even the most powerful politicians. They all bowed their heads in reverence before the portrait of a legend.
Michael Jr. stood before tens of thousands of people, fighting back choking tears. He gently placed a white rose on his grandmother's grave, resting beside his grandfather Michael Sr.'s grave. The two great souls were finally reunited forever.
"My grandmother once said, the greatest light is not the light of the sun, but the light from the human heart," Michael Jr. spoke. "Her legacy will never die. It will live on in every heartbeat of the lives saved."
