Chapter 64 - the race against time

Noah’s private jet touched down in Boston under the cover of absolute darkness. He bypassed his corporate headquarters and drove directly to the secure, underground laboratory where Michael Jr. was frantically synthesizing a counter-agent.

Emily, despite her advanced age, refused to stay behind at the countryside estate. The brilliant former trauma surgeon stood beside her grandson, her sharp eyes scanning the complex chemical algorithms scrolling across the massive digital monitors.

"The synthetic compound binds to the nervous system in exactly six hours," Emily analyzed, her voice completely steady and authoritative. "We have to reverse-engineer the original ice-shock protocol I used on your father, but on a massive, aerosolized scale."

"We can't manufacture enough counter-agent in time if they hit the city water supply or the transit vents," Michael Jr. said, his hands moving with blinding speed across the keyboards. "We need to find their primary distribution hub."
