Chapter 23 - the battle for survival
The estate's security forces quickly took their positions, returning fire against the attackers with absolute precision. Thick gunpowder smoke enveloped the once peaceful and beautiful garden.
From the second-floor balcony, Michael used an assault rifle to take down the enemies one by one. His ruthlessness and speed had not diminished with age. Anyone who dared to set foot on his territory had to pay with blood.
Noah stayed close behind his father, constantly providing cover fire from the blind spots. The boy displayed extraordinary bravery, not showing a hint of fear in the face of death. The seed of the Carter family's strength had truly blossomed.
At this moment, the true enemy stepped out from the armored command vehicle. It was Mateo Falcone, the youngest son of the old Falcone gang, the one who had luckily survived and escaped the bloody great purge.
Mateo carried a maniacal hatred. He wasn't here to reclaim territory; he was here to eradicate Michael's bloodline by the roots, taking revenge for the horrific downfall of the ruthless Falcone family.
