Chapter 36 - the judgment

Victor frantically drew his gun, aiming it straight at Noah's head. "Do you think I don't dare to kill you? Give me my money back, or I'll blow your brains out right here!" he roared, completely losing his control and reason.

"Shoot," Noah said calmly, not blinking an eye. "But before you pull the trigger, look out the window."

Victor glanced down at the plaza below the headquarters. Dozens of FBI SWAT vehicles had tightly surrounded the building. Deafening sirens wailed. His entire criminal dossier had been handed over to the authorities.

"You lost, Victor," Noah declared coldly. "Revenge with guns and bullets is the way of cowards. I will let the law slowly crush your life in the darkest federal prison."

Victor's five bodyguards realized the hopeless situation and immediately dropped their weapons to surrender, hoping for leniency. Victor collapsed to the floor, dropping his gun. All his ambitions and hatred were smashed into shattered pieces.
